OK, so look...I'm a bit on the addicted side when it comes to acquiring new yarn. I just can't seem to get enough - in fact, according to my husband, I just might have a slight problem (if this can be considered a problem...really?) Anyone else have this sort problem? I know there are a few of you out there. :) There is literally yarn in every single room of my home - I have left no room unscathed I guess (once again, according to my husband). Of course, if it were up to me I'd be swimming in yarn - I could sleep in yarn - I would want to dress myself in actual skeins of yarn. OK, well maybe I wouldn't go THAT far, but you get my point. See...I'm not THAT crazy. I like yarn (what am I saying? I LOVE yarn!) - maybe just a little bit more than your average person. :)
I got a new order from Miss Babs in yesterday (um yes, I do get lots of yarn coming through these doors even though we are no longer technically selling new yarns in our shop), and most of this yarn ends up in my personal stash now. In fact, all of it does. It is, in a word, FANTASTIC! Anyway, back to the Miss Babs order. Check these gorgeous lovelies out...
This is "Nasturtium"...
Oh yeah...I can see this...are the Nasturtiums in bloom where you live?
For some reason this season I'm pretty drawn to the oranges, yellows and greens, as you'll see below as well...
Meet "A Day at Daffodil Farm"
Is this colorway fantastic or what? I want to spend a day at Daffodil Farm!!!!
and I also want to spend a bit of time at "Muir Pond"...
and I don't even mind a little Moss joining us (see him in the background here?)....
Oh goodness....there's even a little Frog Belly in here (this is one of my favorites!!!)
We're on our way out of town for a few days to enjoy the 4th of July Holiday, and yes, some of these beauties will be joining us. :) Of course, the books will be joining us as well. I'm almost finished with this fantastic read,
and will be on to the next chapters in this journey very, very soon -
and
and in case you're wondering, the yarn featured in this photo is Superhero Knitosophy by Dream in Color - destined for a special wonder twin. :)
Hope you each have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
Oh. I knew there had to be others out there!! I see beautiful yarn and I buy it before I've even thought about what to make out of it. It's gotten rather out of control. I'll think of ideas that I want to buy more yarn for, and then, well, maybe sometimes buy the yarn and then not actually use it for the project I thought of.

That was before I bought a grab bag from you too! I really do have issues. I like to stand at my yarn closet and touch all the soft wool. I look at the afghan stuff and I want to just do something with it to get rid of it. But then I see all the sock yarn and I swoon all over again.
Glad to know I'm not the only one. That Superhero yarn is beautiful, btw.

Here, here :) I have way more yarn than I'll be able to knit! At least while I'm doing this school thing :)
I love the DIC Knitosophy yarns. The colors are stunning. I don't own any yet, mostly because I couldn't decide on just one, and bills need to get paid more than I need yarn :P
Hope you have a great trip!
xoxo

I think I have a similar problem! (Just ask my hubby =))
I'm sure you'll be surprised by this revelation, Jen, but I LOVE that Nasturtium!!! If you ever get more or have extra, let me know! =) (Daffodil Farm and Muir Pond are nice, too!)
I've also been eyeing the Knitosophy Blossom, but haven't had a chance to acquire it yet (be it because of time or money!)..someday! =)
I've heard a lot about that book series recently, too, and am in the process of getting a copy of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo soon. Can't wait!
Love your blog design, too! I've missed you and am glad to see you blogging again.

The world can be changed by man's endeavor, and that this endeavor can lead to something new and better .No man can sever the bonds that unite him to his society simply by averting his eyes . He must ever be receptive and sensitive to the new ; and have sufficient courage and skill to novel facts and to deal with them .Do you understand?

Those yarns are amazing! The first two are my favorite, but all are beautiful. I also loved the post about your road trip. We've done the coast, the whole 101 of oregon. I'd love to head east now. Just beautiful, thanks for taking me along!
