Getting lost in Euphorbia

Today I got lost in Euphorbia



and the Equinox clouded my view



I noticed that what once was Plum Glace



Now seemed to be Jay Blue



Down The Red Carpet path



I stopped to take note of the brilliant
Cabbage Rose cherry



But while doing so caught glimpse of my
Alki Reflection



and got bit in the bum by the Fireberry.



As my Hometeam Baseball team
cheered me on



My Hometeam Football team sang
(and oh were they debonair!)



They called me their Weekend Warrior



They chanted that I was their Chocolatier!



The Baroness raised her glass
to offer a toast



While the Cami Chic
in the sunglasses



Offered me a single Gerber Daisy



or was it a Tulip?
To tell you the truth I'm not sure,
as the rest of the story was quite hazy.

 

I got Beachglass caught in my toe,
I remember



and some gal named Daphne



shoved me into a nearby
Shady Verdant tree.
Of course, she claimed she was trying
to save me.



I could hear the band drumming
the Denim Blues in the distance



and the swans swimming in the nearby Greenlake



and that's when much to my Sailor's Delight

I slowly began to awake.

Now does this story make sense?
Does it seem like a bunch of euphoria?

Well...no silly!
Of course it doesn't make sense!

Off to San Fran

I'm off to San Francisco this weekend for a relaxing
weekend visiting our good friend Tim.

Brightening a rainy day

It's raining today in Oregon (what a shock!)
but I must say that it was a gorgeous Mother's Day
weekend and it really brightened this rainy
day to bring out some of the shots taken of
the flowers in my mom's garden from this
past weekend.



Flowers just have that magic about them, don't they?





Much like yarn I have found...

that just arrived



certainly speak sunshine to me.

All in awe Mother's Day Contest

On a recent trip to California we were introduced to a
hot new band called Rey Fresco. The harp music
alone is incredible, but adding the drums and bass throw it
over the top for me, and with their songs
All in Awe and Tokyo's Bananas (check out the cool video),
I think this band is so hot! As it turns out, our friend
Tim is friends with the band members, so I see a Ray Fresco
concert (and close encounter with that harp player especially)
 in our near future. :)

In honor of Mother's Day this weekend, we have
decided to have a fun Mother's Day contest based a bit
around Rey Fresco and one of their songs - Tokyo's Bananas -
and a bit of Mother's Day trivia. The song Tokyo's Bananas
is entirely instrumental, so will give you a wonderful chance
to view the video link above. For those of you who
can't view the video, we've made this Rey Fresco question
"extra credit", so you won't get penalized for this if you
get the Mother's Day trivia questions correct.



We will randomly choose 3 winners out of those
who answer all 3 Mother's Day trivia questions
correctly - those winners will receive a super fun
package filled with gorgeous mini skeins from a
variety of our previous kits & test knits, as well as
a skein of your choice of sock yarn from the shop, and lots
of other goodies - including an assortment of
cute stickers, cards, a set of knitting needles,
