Deep thoughts, by Abby

I often wonder what Abby is thinking about
as I see her staring off in the distance,
seemingly oblivious to the sounds around her.

So much of the day spent in silence...
or is that just from my perspective?



I caught this photo of her the other day ~
I think I must have caught her in mid-lick,
if there is such a thing. What do you think
she was thinking about during this shot?



Or in this one. I imagine her saying to herself...
Get this photo over with already!
 Is it just me or does she look a little
"perturbed" in this photo, with her little
lips pursed like that and that burning glare?

Alternately, there are times that I would
swear that she's smiling at me.

Am I just imagining that? Or does Abby
really have deep thoughts?

I suppose we may never know...but ahhhh
what I like to imagine. :)

Back from the dead

OK, so I wasn't ACTUALLY dead,
but it sure felt like it!

I spent the 2 weeks before my vacation
in a complete flu state, spent the week of
my vacation with the flu, spent the week
after my vacation recovering from the flu,
and then Kevin (Woolboy) suprised me
this last weekend with a wonderful
weekend getaway to....

Can you guess?



Here's a few more clues...



Nope, it's not really Paris!



Nope, not Venice either!



And not New York!

Instead, it was all of them combined into
one gigantic and fantastic trip to Vegas!
Yep, Vegas! We had never been and
had always talked about it, and I was so
shocked to find out we were finally going. :)

Woolboy got us super duper tickets to
Elton John (our favorite!) and we had
a great time visiting all of the casinos,
shops, playing the Wizard of Oz slot machines...

Barely, though - I think this photo could be
a bit suspect. Don't you think?

It was fun to see the magnificent gardens and
water shows

Blue Shoes and Happiness

Since arriving at the beach earlier this week,
I've been able to take some time to read,
which is something I love to do at the beach.

Something about a windy, rainy beach day
calls for a good book in my opinion. I'm hoping
to finish up the #1 Ladies Detective Agency
series while I'm here and I'm down to the last
two books, so I think it's looking positive! :)



I've also made more than a few trips
to the LYS while I've been here. There's
also nothing more relaxing (in my opinion)
than spending a couple of hours browsing
through yarn at your LYS, am I right?

I've also spent some time getting to know
the local cats...
