Yarntini Wishes Contest
Yarntini.....
Is there any name sweeter? Not in my book! We all know what this contest means....Yarntini is on it's way to us soon - in the next week or so. Each time Yarntini arrives, we celebrate with a contest, so this time is no exception. This time you will win a skein of Yarntini in your choice of colorway (out of the colorways we are receiving this time around). Sounds exciting, eh?
I decided that this contest didn't need any special "internet searching" skills or knowledge. No, for this contest we just want to hear your ideas. That's it! But you must enter in order to win! :)
We would love to know which Yarntini colorway you would choose if you win the contest, and which sock pattern you have in mind for it? That's it...it's as simple as that! All entries will be thrown into our special hat randomizer on Friday morning and the winner will be announced on Friday's blog. We look forward to hearing from each and every one of you about your Yarntini wishes!
A few other notes...
As you know, our 1 Year Anniversary Sale starts this Friday, April 11th at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time and continues through Sunday, April 13th at 11:59pm. 10-20% off everything in the shop! Be there or be square! :) And there will be prizes...the 15th, 30th, 50th, 75th, and 100th (if we have that many!) order this weekend win special prizes, and they just keep getting better the greater the number. I will email you individually if you are one of those winners, and all winners will be announced on Monday's blog.
Secondly, if you were unable to get a Flat Feet when we had them posted a couple of weeks ago, check them out here. I personally know that Pam has posted about 25 of them in the shop today, so get them while they're still there, as I know they are going fast!
Happy Wednesday!

I would get the Pink Is the new Yarn colorway and make the Frog Warts socks by Wendy Johnson

I'd choose 4-8-15-16-23-42 - because I love Lost.
I think I'd just do a stockinette sock.

I would hope for true love, and just a simple pair of ribbed socks (and if I was lucky to get enough, would make all 3 of my girls socks too in that colorway!)

Oh, so hard to choose a favorite! I guess it would have to be Blue Hawaiian, and I would probably make a thuja sock with it. It's hard to find!

Boardwalk would be the color I'd want. So bright! And I love plain stockinette socks. So comfortable and they show off the colors so nicely.
Posted by: Michelle | April 09, 2008 at 08:30 AM
I'd choose the classic appletini and use a simple pattern, something like Thuja.
Posted by: Vicki | April 09, 2008 at 08:32 AM
I would choose chocolatini, mcdreamy, or gimlet. I think those colors would look good in a monkey sock or just a plain stockinette.
Posted by: Marylu | April 09, 2008 at 08:34 AM
I think Grape Ape would be good for the Violets Rising pattern from Knitspot.

HI JEN !!!!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!!!
OF COURSE MY FAVORITE COLORWAY WOULD BE WOOLGIRL !!!!!! AND I WOULD MAKE THEM IN MY FAVORITE RIBBED PATTERN.

Hmmm.. I love pure fall, but know it's "out of season", so I would choose cosmopolitan! I think it would make one hot pair of Bellatrix socks. :D
Posted by: Tiffany | April 09, 2008 at 08:43 AM
My favorite is Pumpkin Spice, but you won't get that in a spring shipment, so I would go for Pomtini and try Jaywalker again.
Happy Anniversary!
Posted by: Karen C | April 09, 2008 at 08:47 AM
I would choose Lemon Drop and probably knit it up using the Charade pattern!
Posted by: Bertha | April 09, 2008 at 08:47 AM
I would opt for Pomtini and either do Jaywalkers or Charades!
Posted by: Jessie | April 09, 2008 at 08:55 AM
I've always wanted Appletini! I think it would look great in Monkey socks or Jaywalkers....or maybe I'd try a new Cookie A pattern for such a special yarn!

Which color? Hard to choose--They're all great! I think I would pick 4-8-15-16-23-42. For the pattern maybe Seedy Rib Socks from Gardiner Yarn Works. I like how the vertical lines of the ribbing contrast with the horizontal stripes of color. Looking forward to the sale. . . Congrats on your anniversary!

I would choose lemon drop and knit it up in Elfine pattern for a perfect pair of spring socks.

I would pick - make it work and carry on as Tim Gunn is my hero!
And as a mother of three we are always just trying to make it work asound here!
Just learned to knit sock so it's just the basics for me!

I would choose Cosmopolitan colorway and the pattern I'd used would be Anastasia.
Posted by: Edith | April 09, 2008 at 09:03 AM
I would love to score "pure fall" for a pair of monkey socks. I would also love some "woolgirl" sport--in fact you couldn't go wrong with any of the colors.
Posted by: Nancy | April 09, 2008 at 09:13 AM
I'd pick Grape Ape, and I'd knit the no purl Monkeys. My favorite sock pattern for Yarntini!
Posted by: Helena | April 09, 2008 at 09:22 AM
Hmmm, I'd love to have socks in the Cosmopolitan colorway. But of course appletini is som much fun to say!! They're all so scrumptious looking!!
Posted by: Bonney | April 09, 2008 at 09:22 AM
I'd love Chocolatini for a cowl.
Posted by: Sherry | April 09, 2008 at 09:22 AM
I would LOVE to knit Charlene Schurch's Baby Fern socks with some Yarntini Wool Girl. Love that color combo!
Posted by: FloraPoste | April 09, 2008 at 09:23 AM
I'd have to go with Gimlet, probably in Monos Locos (toe-up Monkeys)
Posted by: Karen | April 09, 2008 at 09:24 AM
I think I would have to choose Three Rivers or Gimlet and make either a pair of Broadripples or a pattern that is featured in the SNB calendar from my LYS called River Ripple. And I have to admit, I have never used Yarntini, but have loved the colors for quite sometime now.
