Snuggles in trouble? Who would have guessed it????? A few nights ago I was checking in a bunch of gift boxes I had received in from JO Designs (which are gorgeous, by the way), and I had boxes and tissue paper scattered about, when the phone rang and I had to leave the room for a split second to answer it. It was my mom, and I sat down to talk with her for a bit, when I heard the ruffling of tissue paper in the next room. Lo and behold, Snuggles had decided to check out the new boxes from JO Designs too! I must say, however, he seemed more interested in the tissue paper than the boxes! :)
He was surprised that I had caught him snooping around!
He was, of course, shoo shooed out of the room, but 5 minutes later, after I was off of the phone, I found him lurking around outside of the room....(he doesn't look very innocent, does he?)
I just knew he was up to no good and wanted back in that room with the boxes and tissue paper. Why do cats just love to be amongst a bunch of items (such as tissue paper, or laundry, for instance)?
Well, not more than a few minutes later, I returned to the room, despite my efforts (I even threatened no wet food for dinner!) and there he was again - in the same spot amongst the tissue paper and boxes! Ugh! I finally decided to lock him out of the room (as much as I hate to do that!)
Abby, in the meantime, did her usual "I told you so!" and nonchalantly looked away from the camera! I hate it when my dog is always right! She has little patience for Snuggles tactics to continously cause trouble.
So, a shop update this last week and this next week!
This last week we added some gorgeous J Irby fingering and sport weight sock yarn. If you haven't tried this yarn yet, you really should, as it's extremely soft, fun to knit with, and comes in some gorgeous colorways. Jennifer, who is the owner of J Irby Designs, started selling her own line of handpainted yarns in 2004. She has developed her colorways based on the nature that surrounds her both in Virginia and coastal North Carolina. She dyes her yarns by hand in a small studio and handpaints the yarns in small quantities using Gaywool Dyes. Through J Irby designs, Jennifer also offers a lovely selection of hand knit scarves and shawls, as well as patterns.
In addition, we added the lovely Miss Babs fingering weight yarn, which comes in a variety of beautiful colorways and is quickly becoming a favorite yarn of many of our customers. From the Bronzed Plum colorway to the Terra Cotta Tile colorway, there is such a vast array of colors to choose from! Babs is a wonderful hand-dyer from Tennessee, who just loves to work with color - and it shows in her yarns and fiber! The colors that she comes up with are fantastic!
We also added the vibrant Irish Baby Knits bulky yarn to our collection of yarns at Woolgirl. We are offering some beautiful colors in the Riddermark Merino, which is a three ply bulky weight, perfect for quick knits and we also offer Lindon Merino, which is a worsted weight, two ply merino that creates a gorgeous finished garment! Try them out for your next baby project or quick knit scarf or hat!
